Perforations

2006

Line of perforation, or option to separate the portion from the whole, belongs exclusively to the world of global power struggle, to politicians and leaders. Destructive element of this process, damage inflicted to the unity of the whole, and the permanent character of this act, is a phenomenon that compels my creative process. Anxiety that follows the act of separation instigates doubt in our decision, but what is done cannot be undone. Physicality of this act and its irrevocable outcome underline the importance of the decision process.
